Region 1 Championships Underway
The Region 1 Championships are underway in Barboursville, WV.  The winners advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships later this month in Massachusetts.  Good luck to all the PA West Soccer representatives!

Time To Register For The Sportsmanship Tourney
The last Saturday of July is Sportsmanship Saturday in PA West Soccer because that's the day of the annual Sportsmanship Tournament.  The one-day tourney is held in conjunction with Referee Camp to provide games for the campers while giving our teams a mid-summer soccer "snack" to get them through to the fall.  Now's the time to sign up your squad for this year's competition.

Adult Tournament Registration Time
The tournament may not be until early August but now's the time to register your team for this year's tournament.  There will be competition for men and women in a variety of age groups.  Visit the tournament web site for more info or to register online

Open Tournament Caps Spring Session
PA West Soccer's Open Tournament closed the spring playing session and the 2008-09 season.  The first weekend had ten divisions crowned champions and this past weekend saw 19 divisions' award trophies.  Congratulations to all the teams competing in this year's tournament...see you next year in Edinboro!

ODP '93 Boys First Regional Titlist
The PA West Soccer '93 Boys ODP team won the association's first Region 1 ODP Tournament Title beating Massachusetts in the final to earn a spot in the US Youth Soccer National ODP Tournament.  The Region 1 Final went to kicks from the mark with the western PA squad booking their trip to Arizona next March to take on teams from Region 2, 3 and 4. 
  
Referee Camp Just Around The Corner
The spring session may be just underway but it won't be long before it will be mid-summer.  That time of year always means Referee Camp and now's the time to register for this annual event.  Referee Camp will be held July 25-26 at California University.
